BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — This year's federal duck stamps are now available for electronic purchase on the North Dakota Game and Fish Department website.
Registered license vendors also can sell the electronic stamp. Physical stamps aren't available at license vendors this year, but they can be bought at many post offices.
Hunters are required to buy the stamp to go after waterfowl such as ducks and geese, but anyone can buy the stamps that many people consider a collectible artwork. The stamps raise tens of millions of dollars each year for habitat conservation.
This year's federal duck stamp costs $25, up from $15 last year. There's another $1.50 added to cover shipping and handling of the physical stamp. It's the first price hike in 24 years.
