Hawaiian angler Scott Haraguchi, who often films for his YouTube channel Hawaii Nearshore Fishing, was enjoying calm conditions in his kayak in relatively shallow water about a mile from shore. Shortly after catching and releasing a big jack (pic in the video), he forgot to turn off his GoPro, which turned out to be a stroke of good luck.
As you’ll see below, a large tiger shark mistakes Scott’s yellow kayak for food of some sort, and tries to bite it in half. In the news video, Scott explains why he thinks the shark attacked, as well as how he was able to kick the shark away with his left foot. Crazy!
