Check out this outstanding 30-second Facebook video of a gun dog named Waylen pointing at a tight-holding rooster pheasant. (Be sure to turn up the volume for best viewing.)
The video was posted by Luke Mellon and he wrote, “When the rooster wants to stay put but the boys got a different idea, watch Waylen jump over the strip at the end, my man took flight! I am so glad temperatures are dropping just like the birds! It's the best part of the year!
As you’ll see, the hunter had to literally kick the hiding rooster from the thick cover. And at the end of the video, that’s Waylen (an English pointer) on the right jumping high over a strip of cover to try and get a bird’s-eye view of the downed rooster. Impressive!
