After just one month, and selling less than 100 tickets per show, the Duck Commander musical based on Willie and Korie Robertson’s book has been shut down in Las Vegas.

Not everything is a good idea and many sportsmen would tell you they saw this one coming from many miles away.

In mainstream culture, the Robertsons are known as much for their political and religious beliefs as they are duck calls and hunting gear. That spells box office disaster in sin city, and that’s a fact Jack.

The Producers, the same team behind Broadway smash hits like “Jersey Boys” and "Matilda,” believe the show can still live in on in other parts of the country.

"The production is thrilled to have had the opportunity to develop the Duck Commander Musical at the Rio. Much has been learned from this limited engagement, and from the great support from everyone who has come to see this first staging of this completely new musical. Duck Commander will now consider several possible opportunities for the next stage in the life of the show, including extended sit-down engagements in interested cities, as well as a national tour."

The curtain officially comes down on the show May 17.
