Among all the cool things about Maryland — history, seafood, fishing — one to be included in the mix is the solid hunting the Eastern Shore can offer.

Baltimore has so much history oozing from it that it's crazy to think about. It was one of the nation's first significant cities in the 1700s. It's on Chesapeake Bay, one of the nation's most significant waterways. Combine the two and you get a whopping dose of seafood, Americana and modernity.

But head to the marshes and rural areas of the Eastern Shore and you'll find a slower way of life. This area is considered to be all the counties on the eastern side of Chesapeake Bay: Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's, Somerset, Talbot, Wicomico and Worcester. If you're a hunter, angler and outdoors lover this is the place to be to get away from the hubbub.
