Mountain biker Jeff Plassman was racing in the 50-mile Monster Cross and Mountain Bike race in Pocahontas State Park in Virginia when out of nowhere, a deer leapt into his path. The collision was captured on Plassman's bike-mounted camera, and he writes about the experience on his blog.

"I'm really lucky, I guess," he said." It's a good thing the deer didn't hit me in the body full-on…I didn't even have time to react. All I saw was fur, sky, ground. You can't make this stuff up!"

Plassman got back on his bike and finished the race. Guess he WAS lucky!
