Many hunters will go a lifetime without spotting a Snow White squirrel, but one Louisiana sportsman recently bagged his second.
Kenny Cobb’s second kill of a white squirrel came near Vernon, Louisiana, in Jackson Parish, The News Star reported.
Despite the rare feat, Cobb experienced the same thing 38 years ago. In a bit of irony, Cobb took both squirrels using the same gun — a 16-gauge Model 12 Winchester manufactured in 1915.
Cobb said of all of his trophies taken during his long careers hunting and fishing the white squirrels are his most cherished.
