As a parent of two college-age boys, I can appreciate the joy shown in this short Facebook video. I took my sons fishing as soon as they could hold a rod-and-reel combo without dropping it in the lake, and some of my greatest memories are of them catching their first big sunfish, bass, northern pike, carp, catfish and more.
This video is less than 2 minutes long, but the memories made in this moment will last a lifetime.
I love when the kid says, “I’m not holding that thing!” But his dad is smart enough to have a fish gripper tool that makes it easier for his son to handle the big bass.
It’s awesome, too, when the kid, talking about a photo, giggles, “Send it to mama!”
