Daiwa Zakana Casting Jig

There are few lures in the saltwater tacklebox that can be used for multiple applications. Jerkbaits jerk. Twitchbaits twitch. And topwaters toil the surface. Daiwa has a fix for that.

Its new Zakana casting jig performs as well on the cast as it does vertically below the boat. Offshore, near-shore and pier casters can all deploy it with equal success. What separates the Zakana casting jig from other makes and models is its horizontal line-tie with sturdy split-ring that gives the lure a distinctive, erratic action on the jig and freefall.

Developed specifically for saltwater pursuits, the jig’s body and components are highly resistant to corrosion, including its famously sharp VMC 9626 treble hook. Its exterior is a fortress, too, maintaining its authentic cosmetics fish after fish. The Zakana casting jig is available in seven different weights for a wide array of depths and conditions and eight colors.

MSRP: $7.99-$11.99.
