Massive storm systems left the parking lot of Hu-b's Outdoors, the original host for this year's Muzzy Classic, underwater. Not to worry because tournament organizers have opted to move the tournament back to last year's location — - a favorite of many — Lee S Jones Park.
Located in Eddyville, Kentucky, the park will serve as the new gathering place for the captain's meeting, which is still slated for July 11, 2020, at 5 p.m. The park will also serve as the weigh-in site starting at 7 a.m. on Sunday, July 12.
Except for the site change, there have been no other adjustments to the tournament. The 21st Annual Muzzy Classic will still be a Big 20 format with a Big Fish cash prize. The payout for the Big Fish winner will be based on the number of registrations, as will payout for places 4 through 10. Payout for 2nd place will be $5K and bronze earns $2,500.
Fishable waters still include: Kentucky Lake Dam to Pickwick Dam, Barkley Dam to Cheatham Dam; on the Tennessee River from the Kentucky River to the Ohio River; the Cumberland River from Barkley Dam to the Ohio River and the Ohio River from Newburgh Lock and Dam to Highway 51.
