MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — Biologists from the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife say anyone who wants to learn more about the state's deer and moose herds should attend one of three upcoming hearings.

Hearings are scheduled for March 25 in Springfield, March 26 in Orleans and March 27 in Middlebury.

Two more hearings will be held in May.

This month's hearings will include results of Vermont's 2013 deer and moose seasons and prospects for deer and moose hunting this fall. They will also provide an opportunity for hunters to give biologists their observations and opinions about the status of the deer herd.

The department will also provide an update on the progress with its comprehensive deer management review.

The hearings are all scheduled from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
