AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine officials say the money generated from the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, ATV registrations and the moose hunt lottery has increased by more than $700,000 over last year.
State officials say revenue from a combined hunting-fishing license is up by six percent from last year. ATV riding revenue is also up six percent. Fishing license revenue is up by seven percent.
The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife says the department generated more than $22 million from the sale of licenses, registrations and permits. The fiscal year ended June 30.
