The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is using a recent run-in between a Florida woman and a black bear as a warning for close encounters.
WKMG reports FWC received video of the incident earlier this week and are currently searching the Longwood area for the bear. Officials said once they trap the bar, they plan to “assess and take the most appropriate action to ensure public safety,” the news station reports.
The video was recorded by the resident on her iPhone, WKMG reports, with the black bear’s snout being within feet of the phone.
