Recently, guests staying at the Lionshead Hotel at Antlers at Vail had a new extra—a baby moose!

It’s the time of year where baby moose are on the move.  So much so that biologists have to remind people they aren’t pets.

Guests at the wildlife themed Antlers, waited behind windows and took video of the moose as it made itself at home in the lobby. Eventually, the moose bounded through an open door and into the parking lot where wildlife officials tranquilized it and plan to care for it at a nearby facility.

Children likely chased the moose after it had wandered off from its mother.
