Welcoming a new member to the Kuma lineup, Bear raises the veil on the new Kuma 30. The bow has a compact 30-inch axle-to-axle measurement, 6-inch brace height and sends arrows downrange up to 345 fps. The BearTrap limb pocket combines the strength of a metal pocket with a Zero-Tolerance boot. The VersaGrip system was designed to provide comfortable hand placement while reducing torque. The Kuma 30 utilizes the same ShockWaves and SonicStops as the Divergent to reduce vibration and noise. The Kuma 30 weighs 4.1 pounds. It’s available with draw weights of 45-60 and 55-70 pounds, and draw lengths ranging from 25.5-30 inches.
Bear Divergent ($699.99)
Built with the whitetail hunter in mind, Bear’s all-new Divergent is only 28-inches axle to axle — good for in-the-tree maneuverability — but will still hit speeds up to 338 fps. The incorporated Shockwaves limb dampener reduces vibration and shock, while SonicStops eliminate string vibration and noise. According to Bear Archery, the Divergent’s Hybrid Cam system offers a smooth draw cycle without sparing speed and accuracy. The BearCage design of the riser reduces flex and weight while maintaining its structural integrity. The Divergent weighs 3.9 pounds and has a brace height of 6.5 inches. It is available with draw weights of 45 to 60 and 55 to 70 pounds and draw lengths ranging from 25.5 to 30 inches.
