Aluminum Duck Boat Torture - A Test You Have to See to Believe

The warning “Don’t try this at home” perfectly sums up this aluminum duck boat torture-test video.

Aluminum Duck Boat Torture - A Test You Have to See to Believe

Havoc Boats are made in Fordyce, Arkansas, and chances are good you’ve never heard of the boat brand. After watching the Facebook video below, however, you’ll never forget the name.

A bit of background: Havoc builds aluminum boats for three primary purposes: fishing, hunting and racing. Some boats, in particular it’s racing models, are meant for one specific purpose. Most of the other designs can be used by outdoorsmen for either hunting or fishing.

Known more regionally than nationally, Havoc Boats are made in Fordyce, Arkansas, home of flooded timber for ducks and largemouth bass.

Such is the case with the 2019 100-gauge-aluminum MSTC model shown in this video. On the company website the boat is advertised as “the same boat as the MST but with less flotation and more storage.” The MST stands for Mud Step Transom. Basically, it’s a boat designed for duck hunting in flooded timber. Remember, Stuttgart, Arkansas, is considered the duck hunting capital of the world. It’s about 70 miles from Fordyce.

The purpose of the torture-test is to show the strength of the MSTC’s I-beam supported hull. MST and MSTC boats can be rigged with an outboard or mud motor. In the video below, the drivers are powering the MSTC with a BOSS 40XP EFI motor.

This duck boat torture-test appeared to be equal parts dangerous and thrilling.

Of course, performance and durability like this doesn’t come cheap. The boat shown in the video matched with a BOSS 40XP, trailer, and standard features is almost $17,750. Note to self: Start buying lottery tickets.

Will you ever put your duck boat or fishing rig through the gauntlet like these drivers? I hope not. But it must be comforting to know your boat can handle it.

Again ... don’t try this with your boat. Ever! (Be sure to click full screen and crank up the volume for best viewing.)
