PSE Archery New Bows For 2014

For the past several years PSE has been one of the undisputed industry leaders when it comes to smoking-fast, premium bows.

Unbelievably, for 2014 this innovator has kicked it up yet another notch. Looking for a seriously flat shooter? Your search begins here.

PSE New Bows 2014Full Throttle

PSE’s new Full Throttle is rated at 370 fps, as in…370 fps. Which is, to our knowledge, the fastest bow in production. Not just by a few feet per second, but by a large margin.

Those radical FT Cams with 70 percent letoff, PSE’s heavily pre-loaded limbs, and the what-else-can-you-call-it-but-skinny brace height of 51⁄4inches combine to set the speed record.

As one of PSE’s flagship models for 2014, the Full Throttle boasts all PSE’s newest technology including the Backstop 2 micro-adjustable string stop, the Flex Cable Slide, and the distinctive Vibracheck Limb Damper Bands.

On the other hand there is nothing radical about the axle-to-axle of 331⁄4inches or the comfortable 4.1 pounds of mass weight. Draw weights are 50, 60, 65, and 70 pounds. Undeniably a speed bow, it’s sure to surprise some shooters who will expect it to be unforgiving.

Finish options include Mossy Oak Breakup Infinity, Solid Black, and Skullworks. For $1,100 you can own the fastest bow in production, until someone (we wouldn’t be inclined to bet against PSE) makes a faster one.

Source

PSE New Bows 2014Designed to be the smoothest-shooting bow in PSE’s X series bows, the hybrid Source Cam offers a smooth draw and a deep valley for a very comfortable hold at full draw with neither the grabbiness of some cams nor the feel that you almost have to “push” the string to let down.

Top speed is a respectable 335 fps with 75 percent letoff and a 7-inch brace height. Draw lengths start at 26 inches and run all the way out to 311⁄2inches. That and the 33-inch axle-to-axle makes this a great bow for the Big & Tall crowd, especially those who like the feel of a smooth-draw-cycle hybrid cam.

An adjustable limb stop makes the valley and the feel at full draw customizable. Naturally as a Pro Series bow it offers a lot of PSE’s newest features.

Draw weights are 50, 60, or 70 pounds, and the Source is available in Mossy Oak Break-Up Infinity, Skullworks, and Solid Black for $800.
