Confession: I often avoid setting up my spinning rods with braid to leader (either fluorocarbon or mono) because I don’t like the idea of a second knot in play. I rarely have the knot at my lure fail, but I can’t get past the idea that tying two lines together with a knot is more risky.

Here, the host of The Angling Addict demonstrates how to tie the 6-Turn Surgeon's Knot, which is, in his words, “One of the strongest fishing knots you're probably not using.”

I agree with the host; this knot is easier to tie than the Alberto or Albright knots, and just as strong. Watch closely as he shows how to correctly tie the 6-Turn Surgeon's Knot. It’s not difficult, even for someone like me who struggles a bit with more complicated fishing knots.
