Zeiss Victory SF Line Makes Noise At SHOT

The Zeiss both was abuzz the moment the 2015 SHOT Show doors opened. Of course, this was nothing new to Zeiss. A quality optics manufacturer, Zeiss glass is coveted by sportsman far and wide. For 2015, the big draw was undoubtedly the new Victory SF.

“We are so excited about our new Victory SF line,” said Joel Harris. “I would have to say that these are our most exciting binoculars to date. They are lightweight, balanced, and the image quality is simply incredible. A lot of work went into the engineering of these binoculars and I really think we’ve set a new bar with them. People just need to try them for themselves. Just a few minutes handling and looking through them and it’s not hard to discover what makes them so impressive.”

I took what was meant to be a brief moment (actually turned into 20 minutes) scanning the show floor with these shiny new pennies. The Victory SF 8x42 optics feel incredible in the hand, and the field of view is just phenomenal. Sporting incredible ergonomics, the Victory SF’s promise ultra-fast focus and a level of color clarity that impressed me from the get-go. Also appreciated was the wide field of view and impressive five-foot close-focus range.
