Crosman’s new Bulldog .357 is a serious hunting airgun. While checking out the new rifle at the show today, I was glued to a flat screen TV playing footage of deer, African plains game and other big-game critters being taken with the Bulldog .357 — many of the animals dropping in their tracks!
The pre-charged pneumatic rifle shoots a 145-grain .357 caliber pellet at 800 fps. That’s 200 ft./lbs. of kinetic energy. The bolt-action rifle cycles through a 5-round magazine for follow-up shots. The rifle will shoot 10 shots before power starts to diminish and a refill is needed.
The bullpup design gives the rifle an overall length of 36 inches and weighs 7.7 pounds. The rifle features 26 inches of Picatinny rail space and a Baffle-less Sound-Trap for noise suppression. With many states now allowing big-game hunting (and of course predator hunting) with an airgun, the Bulldog .357 is an option worth considering. MSRP: $1,000.
