Outdoors Industry Veteran Todd Pringnitz Dies After ATV Crash

Todd Pringnitz, founder of Wicked Tree Gear and White Knuckle Productions, died Feb. 25 in an Iowa hospital after an ATV crash near his home. He was 41.

Pringnitz was riding an ATV near his Mount Pleasant home when, according to Iowa State Patrol, he "lost control for unknown reasons. The ATV turned over and ejected Pringnitz. He was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City and put into a medically-induced coma. Treatment to reduce swelling of the brain and bleeding, including two surgeries, was unsuccessful.

Survivors include his wife, Katie, and son, Baker.

On a GoFundMe site to relay updates and accept donations was an update from Katie Pringnitz:

"At 3:16 a.m. Todd was welcomed into Heaven. I am thankful for his complete peace that he is feeling right now and comforted that he is with Jesus. I was laying beside him, holding his hand, and had my other hand over his heart when he passed. He seemed so relaxed as he passed and met Jesus. I am sure he yelled "Yea buddy" as soon as he entered Heaven's gates. ❤

"The first thought I had was of John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Because of this I am fully confident that I will see him in Heaven someday soon, as this is what Todd Pringnitz believed."

Pringnitz founded Wicked Tree Gear, which was purchased in 2016 by Tecomate Holdings and the White Knuckle Productions webshow and podcast.
