With a tom on the limb at approximately 100 yards, many wild turkey hunters make the mistake of calling too soon before fly-down time, too soft or too loud initially, or too much overall.
Of course, the saying “roosted is roasted” is false, but if you follow Aaron’s advice you’ll put the odds in your favor of punching your tag within the first few minutes of legal hunting time.
