Mossberg is adding a power-packed caliber to its popular line of Patriot bolt-action rifles, the straight-walled 350 Legend.
The high-performance cartridge will be available in the Patriot Synthetic and Patriot Synthetic Super Bantam rifles. Both have classic lines and are popular with hunters who demand accuracy and performance while being able to withstand whatever Mother Nature offers. Both models also are available in Scoped Combos with a variable 3-9x40mm riflescope.
The 350 Legend is the fastest straight-walled hunting cartridge available while offering more energy, less recoil and increased penetration over many of its competitors. The 350 Legend in the Mossberg Patriot bolt-action rifle series makes this duo a solid choice for deer, feral hogs, black bear and other medium-size game. Deer hunting opportunities are also expanded in areas where straight-walled cartridges are now allowed in previously-restricted (slug-shotgun, handgun and muzzleloader) zones.
Patriot bolt-action rifles feature a well-designed stock with straight comb; rounded edges; raised cheek piece; and black rubber recoil pad. Constructed of durable synthetic, the stock has textured stippling on the grip and the three surface areas of the forend for a solid grip. The standard contour 22-inch carbon steel barrel is free-floating, features a 1:16 twist rate and matte blue finish.
Completing these offerings are Mossberg’s LBA user-adjustable trigger (2 to 7-pound range of adjustment); spiral-fluted bolt; streamlined and checkered bolt handle; receiver-mounted, weaver-style scope bases; sling swivel studs; and 4-round box magazine. The Scoped Combo versions feature a 3-9x40mm riflescope.
For younger shooters or seasoned shooters who require a shorter length-of-pull (LOP), Mossberg’s innovative variable LOP stock, featured on the Patriot Super Bantam, includes a one-inch spacer. As the user grows, adding the spacer increases the LOP from 12 to 13 inches or simply use the spacer to customize your fit.
