SEVR All-Purpose 1.7 Mechanical Broadhead

SEVR is a new mechanical broadhead company, and now it offers bowhunters three size choices of cutting diameter.

SEVR Titanium 1.5 is based on a narrower 1.5-inch blade diameter with a swept-back cutting angle for better penetration as it passes through meat, hide and bone. The Ti 1.5 is offered in 100 grains and 125 grains with 8-32 threads, or in 100 grains for use with Deep Six threads.

SEVR Titanium 2.1 provides the largest entry and exit wound in the SEVR lineup. Ti 2.1 is available in 100 grains or 125 grains with standard 8-32 threads, or in 100 grains for use in Deep Six arrows. The price for a single Ti 1.5 or Ti 2.1 broadhead is $13.99.

The new SEVR All-Purpose 1.7 features a balanced 1.7-inch cutting diameter for large wounds, and a slightly steeper blade angle to add penetration. The AP model is built using a machined 7075-alloy ferrule, .035-inch-thick blades and stainless-steel tip. The AP has a 1.7-inch cutting diameter falls between the SEVR Ti 1.5 and Ti 2.1 to provide an optimal blend of cut width and penetration. The AP 1.7 is available in 100 grains with standard 8-32 threads. The price for a single AP 1.7 is $11.99.

All SEVR mechanical broadheads remain closed in flight even when shot from the highest-speed crossbows. SEVR heads use a patented Lock-and-Pivot blade design, which the company says allows the arrow to maintain a straight-through path even when encountering bone or when taking acute quartering shots.

SEVR broadheads also feature Practice Lock Practice Mode where a supplied setscrew can be inserted into the ferrule to lock the blades safely in their undeployed position. Because the cutting edges are protected inside the ferrule, SEVR heads are ready to hunt after the setscrew is removed.

SEVR mechanical broadheads are sold exclusively at sevrbroadheads.com.
