Today is the kick-off of the 2010 SHOT Show. The SHOT is the outdoor industries trade show of the year, where all the new product for the new year is unveiled. Check some of them out.

Thompson/Center Venture Bolt-Action Rifle

TC Venture PredatorI had the opportunity to shoot the new T/C Predator Venture offering yesterday during the media day. At 50 yards (shot at indoor range) the predator rifles 3-shot groups were all touching. And that was after more than 400 rounds of .22-250 ammo were fired from it, without cleaning.

Some of the key features on the Venture are:

22-inch precision barrel with 5R rifling (guaranteed to shoot 1-inch groups or less at 100 yards).

Adjustable trigger pull from 3.5 to 5 pounds.

Composite stock with traction-grip panels (decked out in Realtree Max-1).

The predator rifle is chambered in .204, .22-250, .223, and .308.

Weighs less than 7 pounds and has a 13 5/8-inch length of pull.

Its price will be under $600.

Remington Model 700 A-TAC

The A-TAC comes chambered in .223 and .308 and features the same triangular-barrel design as the model 700 VTR (A-TAC features a 22-inch barrel). The stock is dressed in a Remington-exclusive A-TAC Digital camo said to absorb light, lessening glare.

Adding to its AR line of rifles Remington has added a .22 LR, the Model 597 VTR. It is built on the Model 597 22 rimfire action, but is fully equipped to accept modular repeating rifle accessories. The Model 597 VTR is covered in the A-TAC Digital camo and features a 16-inch barrel. It has collapsible stock or you can get it with the fixed stock design. Barrel is floated with options of a Picatinny-style quad rail or free-floated tube. A 10-round clip is included, but easily accepts after-market high-capacity magazines.

Rossi Wizard

Rossi Wizard

Rossi has a new break-barrel single shot with an interchangeable barrel system. The Wizard can be fitted with popular varmint rounds, such as .17 HMR, .22 LR .22 Mag, .22-250, .223, .243, and more big-game calibers as well. The Rossi Wizard comes in at a great price point under $400.
