Almost every day I’m reminded about how vast YouTube is when it comes to outdoor content. I’m discovering outstanding videos constantly, and often it’s not because the content providers are new to the outdoor space, it’s simply because I’m late to the party in finding them.
Case in point: The Pedro Ampuero Hunting Adventures YouTube channel has 121K subscribers and 335 videos at the time of this writing. Pedro Ampuero’s work title is European Manager of Brand Development for KUIU. Prior to joining KUIU, he worked as a mechanical engineer in his home country of Spain.
Pedro wrote the following on his website: “I grew up in Bilbao, Spain, and began hunting with my dad at the age of 5. Like most, I started hunting with a rifle and then switched to slug hunting with a shotgun, which forced me to get closer and made it more of a challenge. At the age of 14 I discovered bowhunting, and since then it’s what I probably try to do most.”
When I texted the link to the Yukon moose hunting video below to two of my hunting buddies and asked them if they were aware of Pedro’s content, they both couldn’t believe I was just discovering him now. Oh well, better late than never, right?
The video below is nearly 28 minutes long and the production quality and storytelling is fantastic. I won’t get into the details of the father/son Yukon moose adventure here in my text; there’s no reason for me to play the role of spoiler.

P.S. One of the guides who is extremely frustrated with a leaking boat uses some bad language for about 5 seconds in the first half of the video. I wish the editors would have bleeped it, but it is what it is, and I didn’t want to skip highlighting this otherwise outstanding content due to one bad moment.
