Because I’m fishing or hunting every month of the year, even in my home state of Minnesota, I wear neck gaiters a lot. I’m not an angler who wears one during the hottest days of the summer for sun protection (I use sunscreen instead), but anytime it’s a bit cool, you can bet I’m wearing a gaiter. I own at least a dozen of them — different thicknesses, colors, etc.
When it’s cool enough to wear a gaiter to cover my face and not just my neck, I simply pull the stretchy material over my nose, then pull up the back of the gaiter over the back of my head (photo above). This method works okay, but I’m always annoyed at how the gaiter creeps up by my eyes and then interferes with my peripheral vision.
Check out the 2-minute video below. It shows you a better way to wear a gaiter to cover your face, and the key is hinging the corners.
Watch and learn!
