Top 10 Ted Nugent quotes about guns and hunting (Part II)

Ted Nugent is like no other person you’ll ever meet. Pushing the age of 70, he’s still got a motor that never seems to stop running in high gear. He’s brash, he’s loud, and he’s not afraid to get in the faces of those with whom he disagrees. Especially when it comes to his core issues -- two of which are the Second Amendment and hunting.

Ted is also smart as a whip, and his entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic are a welcome sight in a world where, it seems to me, a lot of folks sit back and hope that success and happiness will fall right into their laps “just because.” And he can still play a mean guitar.

In a previous installment of Top 10 Tuesday, I listed 10 of my favorite all-time Ted Nugent quotes pertaining to guns and hunting. Here’s another 10.

10) "Americans have the right to choose to be unarmed and helpless. Be my guest."

9) "It was psychobabbler Abraham Maslow who wrote of the phenomena of self-actualization. What Maslow failed to grasp is that reaching true self-actualization can only be ultimately achieved when you have your own brand of ammunition."

8) "I'm not in the leftist-controlled Rock & Roll Hall of Fame because of my political views, primarily my lifelong militant support of the NRA, the Second Amendment and my belief that the only good bad guy is a dead bad guy."

7) "Do you want to feel good, or do you want to do good?"

6) "While I now own more guns than the 82nd Airborne, my first gun is still the most important gun I've ever owned."

5) "For the Nugent family, fast food is a running herbivore."

4) "I clearly understood the concept of wise use before I ever heard the actual words, for my father wouldn't allow us to waste anything."

3) "To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic."

2) "The Second Amendment of our Bill of Rights is my Concealed Weapons Permit, period."

1) "The freedom-hating, gun-grabbers do not care about reducing crime or saving lives, or they wouldn't be fighting for more gun-free zones where the most innocent lives are always slaughtered. Those squawking the loudest for banning guns from we the people will not get rid of their we-the-people, tax-dollar-paid armed security guards."
