I’ve had the pleasure of knowing professional outdoor photographer/artist Matt Addington for many years, and have been blessed to work with him in the field a couple of times. Several years ago we visited Gunsite Academy to document what takes place when a person attends the famed facility for a 7-day long-range rifle course (think sniper school), and we also traveled to Quebec on a black bear hunt (Eastern Canadian Outfitters) — with a lot of time chasing smallmouth bass, too. Both were memorable and wonderful adventures.
I recently ran across the 6.5-minute YouTube video below where Matt explains the background story behind two of his favorite deer photos — one whitetail and one muley. I won’t play the role of spoiler; you’ll have to watch Matt’s video to see both pics and learn the details behind each one.
