Similar in size and construction to Smith’s popular line of Pocket Pal knife sharpeners, the 10-N-1 Survival Pal packs a much bigger punch that you might expect. It is lightweight, compact and durable like Smith’s other pocket-sized products, but this product was designed not just for hunters and fishermen. It will also be an essential part of gear bags for backpackers, hikers, campers and climbers.
The knife and saw blades are constructed from 440C steel, and the tungsten carbide blades in the sharpening apparatus are both reversible and replaceable. The tool includes a compass with paracord, a fire starter, signal mirror and whistle. There is also room to store extra batteries for the LED light. It is hard to believe all of these tools can be packed into this one compact unit weighting in at only 26 ounces and measuring a measly 3-3/4” in length and 1-1/2” in width.
