I’ve put the Badlands Approach pattern to the test in both the fall and spring woods, and I love it. Naturally, I was thrilled to hear the manufacturer pulled the trigger on a full fall line designed to fill those key gaps in a bowhunter’s fall closet.
Badlands’ Blake VanTussenbrook gave me the 411 on the fall line 411 at the 2018 SHOT Show, although the garments practically speak for themselves. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Badlands Rev Jacket
A single layer, lightweight softshell ideal for those mild-to-cool conditions. The jacket features a windproof/water-resistant outer and bio-mapped stretch side panels designed to increase maneuverability and regulate temperature. MSRP: $130
Badlands Flex Hoodie
Who doesn’t love a hoodie? This wind-resistant flexible mid-layer features grid fleece for increased moisture management and temperature regulation. A half-zip with a hood, the Flex sports DWR coating for water and wind resistance. MSRP: $80
Algus Tech Long Sleeve
A long-sleeve version of Badlands’ best-selling Algus top, this top is super lightweight and has a moisture-wicking base or outer layer. Silvadur Antimicrobial technology squashes odors, and the CoolTouch sweat-activating cooling liner keeps you bowhunting in comfort. MSRP: $80
Bear Tooth Jacket and Vest
Both the jacket and vest feature Polartec Fleece and zippered hand/chest pockets. Breathable and quick drying, the Bio-Mapped construction aids greatly in temperature regulation. MSRP: $90 Jacket; $80 Vest
