Elite Archery Shooters Win Big In May

Back in January at the 2014 ATA Trade Show in Nashville, team Elite Archery was extremely proud of its new bow lineup, which includes the Energy series bows (Energy 32 and 35) that feature a unique riser cage designed to increase riser strength by 30% and riser rigidity by 19% without any added weight. At the time, Bowhunting World and Archery Business staffers were indeed impressed with the concept, and the rest of the innovative features, but now, we're starting to see the "real-world" benefits of the innovative designs.

Elite Pro Shooter Levi Morgan took top honors during the 1st Leg of the 2014 I.B.O. Triple Crown National Championship held May 16-18, with help from his 70-pound signature lime green Energy 35. More good news came from Elite’s Men’s Pro Team, which grabbed a Second Place team finish.

Hosted by White River Bowhunters, the 4H Fairgrounds in Bedford, Indiana, proved to be the ideal setting for Elite’s top shooters to add to their resumes. Posting tremendous scores and running parallel to perennial team favorites, Elite’s shooters proved that bows long on “shootability” are a consistent ticket to success, not only in the woods, but on the tournament trail as well.

From the start, Morgan vaulted to the top of the field, shooting an impressive 212 with 12 elevens after the first day. Morgan followed his Day One with more success and lead the field again on Day Two, after shooting a 205 with 9 elevens, for a final score of 417 with 21 elevens – five points ahead of the next-closest competitor and a dominating win in the Men’s Pro Division.

The Elite Men’s Pro Team comprised of Morgan, Darrin Christenberry, Adam Hayden, and Eric Griggs displayed their extensive individual and collective talents to make a hard run at the Team win, finishing in a close second place with a total score of 1,207.

“This [past] weekend’s performance by the Elite Archery Men’s Pro Team and Levi Morgan is just another testament to the importance of having a shootable bow,” said Elite Archery President Peter Crawford. “We’re extremely proud of the team and individual accomplishments, and anticipate great things for the rest of the national shooting series, and a strong finish at the next shoot in Pennsylvania.”

Established in 2006, Elite Archery is a high-end compound bow company based in Henrietta, New York. Elite’s line of compound bows utilizes a two track binary cam system that are efficient and smooth-drawing.
