Bassmaster Elite angler Gerald Swindle explains how God used two people fishing the shoreline of Lake Guntersville to reset his thinking.

Fishing Video: A Lesson Learned From a Wheelchair and a Pink Floating Worm

Bassmaster Elite angler Gerald Swindle has competed in more than 300 bass tournaments, has career earnings of nearly $2.5 million, and is a former B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year. He’s also one of the most popular anglers on the tournament scene.

In my opinion, the reasons behind Swindle’s massive fan following are due only in part to his success on the water. I’d argue that one of the most important reasons for his popularity is his humility. Swindle doesn’t pretend to have all the answers — when it comes to bass fishing or life — and in the 5-minute YouTube video below, he details a recent experience when he gained inspiration and perspective from two people fishing the shoreline of Alabama’s Lake Guntersville.

Kudos to Swindle for taking the time to share his thoughts.
