In the 12-minute Heartland Bowhunter YouTube video below, bowhunters Shawn Luchtel and Michael Hunsucker have New Mexico elk tags in their pockets, and they’re in the field with their long-time friend Eddie Ortega from Hunters New Mexico. Having pursued elk in this area before, the two hunters have high expectations, but neither of them could have predicted what was about to occur.
