Enter to Win on Facebook or Instagram
The steps are quick and easy:
- Post YOUR photo to your Facebook or Instagram feed and tag us at @GrandViewOutdoors or use #WJCover.
- All photos must be uploaded and tagged no later than December 31, 2018.
- Our team will pick a selection of our favorites and contact the finalists to ensure they have the photo in an appropriate resolution for printing.
- We’ll post the finalists for YOU to vote on at the end of January, 2019.
- The finalist with the most votes by February, 2019 wins.
- Winner receives $500, their photo on the cover of a 2019 issue of Whitetail Journal, and a premium, 20-quart cooler from RUGID Coolers.
Suggestions for Photos
- Only vertically-oriented photos will be considered.
- You must have the original photo in high-resolution and send it to us if you are contacted as a finalist. We will not publish it in print without your permission.
- If your photo is selected as a finalist, you will be expected to sign a document confirming that you are in fact the photographer and/or you have the photographer’s permission to submit the photo and have it published.
- Photos can be of a hunter (or hunters), a live whitetail deer in the field, or a trophy photo of a hunter with a deer they have harvested. Still life and landscape photos with no deer are unlikely to be selected as finalists.
- Each cover we print has the Whitetail Journal logo running across the top of the image. Keep in mind that we can only select as finalists photos which do not have a major focal point of the image filling that space (except antlers, which are OK!).
