The four ironclad rules of firearms safety are universal in their ability to save life and limb. But sometimes people get a little complacent and it costs them.
Fortunately in this video we only see one major violation (finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire), but there are a few additional safety rules that keep a shooter safe that aren’t being observed here — including one critical precaution for shooters of big bore rifles.
It’s a self-correcting mistake for sure, but next time you’re shooting a .50 cal, make sure you keep your eye well away from the scope. And, oh, wear safety glasses, ok?
