MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department will be holding two more public meetings next month to discuss management of the state's deer herd.
The final of five annual meetings will take place in Castleton and Montpelier.
Officials plan to discuss the results of the 2013 hunting season and the department's recommendations to the Fish and Wildlife Board for antlerless deer hunting opportunities in the fall youth, archery and muzzleloader seasons.
The Castleton meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7, at the Kehoe Conservation Camp and the Montpelier meeting will take place on Thursday, May 8, at the Pavilion Auditorium. Both meetings run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
