Nebraska state park shooting range open Nov. 30-Dec. 1

LOUISVILLE, Neb. (AP) — The Platte River State Park shooting range south of Omaha will be open over Thanksgiving weekend.

The Roger G. Sykes Outdoor Heritage Education Complex will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-4 p.ms on Nov. 30 through Dec. 1. The park is located just west of Louisville.

The shooting range includes facilities for rimfire firearm, shotgun, archery, pellet gun and slingshot. Equipment is provided, although customers may bring their own. Those who bring their own equipment must provide their own ammunition.

The minimum age to shoot firearms at the range is 8 years.

For more information and fees, visit OutdoorNebraska.gov/OHEC. The range also will be open to the public Dec. 21-22 and Dec. 26-30.

A park entry permit is required.
