NEWARK, NY. — The National Deer Alliance (NDA) is pleased to announce that the second annual North American Deer Summit is rapidly approaching. Following the success of the inaugural Summit in Branson, Missouri in March of 2014, the need for a second summit was made readily apparent by all in attendance.

The 2015 North American Deer Summit is scheduled for May 6-8 at the Galt House in Louisville, KY. Unlike the inaugural Summit where the goal was to identify the major issues impacting deer hunting and management, the goal of the 2015 Summit will be to identify specific strategies, timelines and metrics to address those defined issues and provide clear direction for the NDA.

“The National Deer Alliance is thrilled with the support it has received throughout the past year from outdoor industry leaders and conservation groups since its formation following the first North American Deer Summit,” stated Craig Dougherty, Executive Director of the NDA. “The first summit made history by launching the NDA (the voice of the deer hunter) this one will get right down to doing something about the problems facing deer and deer hunters. It is very important that hunters show up to be heard”.

Throughout its short existence, the NDA has quickly emerged as the unified voice of deer hunting. With the support of groups such as Whitetails Unlimited, The Mule Deer Foundation, Quality Deer Management Association, The Archery Trade Association, Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas, the National Deer Alliance is well positioned to help strengthen and protect North America’s deer hunting heritage in 2015 and beyond.

Unlike the inaugural Summit which was invitation-only, attendance at the 2015 Summit will not be restricted. While some spots will be reserved for key stakeholder representatives, all others will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The Summit will include 2 days of expert speakers, interactive sessions and panel discussions to identify strategies to address the issues most impacting deer and deer hunting in North America.  For more information on the Summit, visit www.nationaldeeralliance.com
