Bernie Barringer’s YouTube channel, Bowhunting Road, has been around since 2000, and along the way he’s posted more than 550 videos. He’s mostly known for his black bear hunting content, but he also produces a decent amount of whitetail content, plus how-to videos on meat processing, wild game recipes, wilderness cooking and gear reviews, including the effective use of scouting cameras.

Through the years, he’s planned 35 of these trips to 13 states, and he’s learned some important lessons. As he explains, he’s had some amazing success, as well as some crushing failures.
