Thompson/Center Arms has introduced the Encore Prohunter FireStick .50-caliber muzzleloader, pairing the proven break-open Encore platform with the Federal FireStick ignition system to simplify loading and improve shot-to-shot consistency. The FireStick system uses encapsulated, pre-measured powder charges (photo above) to eliminate loose powder handling while delivering consistent velocities, faster reloads and easier cleaning. The Quick Load Accurizor System features a counterbored muzzle to simplify bullet seating and enhance downrange accuracy, while the Swing Hammer design provides ambidextrous access when using optics. A FlexTech Recoil Reduction System helps manage felt recoil for improved comfort.
The muzzleloader is built around a 28-inch button-rifled, fluted stainless-steel barrel with a 1:24 twist, offering balance and accuracy in an 8.25-pound platform with an overall length of 42.5 inches. MSRP: $1,150 (scope not included). Contact: tcarms.com
