Timney Triggers Celebrates 65 Years

timney triggersBeing a family-owned business for two generations and having more than six decades of experience building triggers has given Timney the ability to create and develop industry-leading technology.

Since its inception, Timney has always looked for ways to improve its products. When it started asking shooters and hunters what trigger they would like it to build next, the company was surprised and thrilled at the response. The result is Timney’s new Archery Trigger.

“When our customers asked us to design and build a trigger for bowhunters, we were excited at the chance to take our years of experience in building triggers to a new market. We quickly built a range at our facility and began manufacturing and testing different ideas. We are extremely proud of the Timney Archery Trigger, and we’re excited at the opportunity to become a part of what I’ve found to be an intensely passionate sport—bowhunting,” said John Vehr, president of Timney Manufacturing Inc.

The Archery Trigger may be Timney’s first foray into the archery market, but almost certainly it won’t be the last. Many archers cross the line when the season changes and elect to shoot a boom stick for hunting and for fun. Timney’s quality has been proven through the test of time.

“The Timney Archery Trigger features an innovative Length of Pull Adjustment System that allows the shooter 1 ¾ inches of adjustment by using quarter-inch ball increments,” said Vehr. “The jaws and trigger are constructed of heat-treated steel and housed in 6061 T6 alloy, designed for a lifetime in the field. Each trigger is proudly made in the USA.”
