A 24-Hour Can-Am UTV Test Drive on Your Property for Free? It’s True.

Even though you might not be a farmer, that doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of Can-Am’s Defender Farm Test Program.

A 24-Hour Can-Am UTV Test Drive on Your Property for Free? It’s True.

I've been involved in the hunting/outdoor industry for 25 years, and I've never heard of a program like this one. Can-Am is now offering its Defender Farm Test program in five Great Lakes states and five Canadian provinces. And while the program sounds almost too good to be true, I’ve checked and it’s legit.

That said, the program is limited to machine availability, so everyone who requests a test drive probably won’t have the chance. But if you’re interested, it might be worth throwing your favorite hunting hat in the ring.

Defender Farm Test Program Details

Can-Am is expanding its popular Defender Farm Test Program, which allows farmers and landowners to personally experience how a Can-Am Defender can help them on their property. In other words, if you’d like to build a food plot on your land, and you have a disk (or can borrow one) but don’t have access to a UTV (side-by-side), then this program might be just what the whitetails ordered.

The program is now available in the following five states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. It’s also available in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan and Quebec.

It's free of charge, and includes a 24-hour test of a Can-Am Defender. And this might be the best part: To make it as convenient as possible, the vehicle is dropped off and picked up.

FYI: I had a chance to test drive a Can-Am Defender in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2018, and was impressed. Click here to read my review. In my opinion, this side-by-side would easily handle food plot work. The UTV can tow up to 2,500 pounds and can carry up to 1,000 pounds in its cargo box. Also, and as explained in my article, the Defender has a tight turning radius, which is always helpful when disking or spraying food plots.
