The Firminator

Former Whitetail Journal Editor Mark Olis had a chance a few years ago to visit Milner, Georgia, and tour Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment, makers of the Firminator. He also turkey hunted a 1,000-acre property owned by Lester Ranew (owner of Ranew’s Outdoor Equipment) and the one thing that he noticed while hunting was how all the food plots on site were thick and beautiful.

They clearly took soil samples and amended the soil as needed, but they also had great germination in their plots. They plant all of their plots with the Firminator, which is a food plot implement designed to disc, plant and cultipack all in one machine, which ensures all seeds have excellent seed-to-soil contact — highly important for good seed germination.

After watching the Firminator in action that April, Olis asked the guys to drive up to his hunting property, Borrowed Acres, and do a demo. Adrian Chapman was kind enough to take Olis up on the offer, then the two men planted Borrowed Acres fall food plots with the rock-solid device.
