Arby’s is known for testing out different sandwiches, and the fast-food chain’s newest creation — a venison sandwich —is marketed just for hunters in some of the U.S. heaviest deer hunting areas.

According to a press release, the new sandwich features a thick cut of venison steak and crispy onions with a berry sauce on a toasted roll, USA Today reports. Rob Lynch, Arby’s Brand President and Chief Marketing Officer, said the meat is “100 percent deer meat,” with premium cut top and bottom round steaks from the hind quarter.

"Bringing venison to our menu also allows us to continue to set ourselves apart from the competition when it comes to proteins," he said, according to USA Today. "You simply can’t find this at other restaurant chains."

Lynch told USA Today the sandwich is part of Arby’s “It’s Meats Season” campaign. The sole purpose of the campaign is to celebrate the start of hunting season.

One letdown, however, is the sandwich will be available at only 17 locations nationwide and for a very limited time (listed below). USA Today reports the company picked Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and Georgia as states to serve the sandwich due to heavy deer hunting areas.

Lynch told USA Today the meat comes from free-range farmed deer that freed on fresh grass. He added he’s confident “deer hunters are going to love this sandwich.”
