Longtime industry friends and hard-core turkey hunters Tim Anderson (director of public relations for Mossy Oak) and Derrick Nawrocki (vice president for Grand View Outdoors) joined forces with other industry partners for a Sooner State turkey hunt with Rut N Strut Guide Service this week.

Anderson and Nawrocki were paired together, and this dynamic turkey duo wasted no time putting their Mossberg shotguns and Hunter’s Specialties  calls to use. The pair was able to attract the attention of a couple of vocal gobblers – gobblers that couldn’t resist the sound of their hen calling. The birds closed to within 15 yards of Anderson’s and Nawrocki’s muzzles before the men whispered a “1, 2 and 3” count on the birds. Both crumbled. Anderson’s bird sported four beards – a true trophy to be sure – and Nawrocki’s was a thick-bearded three-year-old.
