Update to Kansas regs — Crossbows are now part of the legal archery equipment, which means they are legal equipment during any season. Anyone with a permit valid during an archery season may hunt during that season with a crossbow. Before hunting big game and turkey with a crossbow all hunters must first obtain a free Crossbow Survey ID Number. The number is available through any KDWPT office and online through the KDWPT website.
