Franklin Armory’s new Rabbit Rounds are chambered in 5.56x45mm and compatible with firearms chambered in .223 Remington, .223 Wylde and 5.56 NATO. Each 45-grain cartridge contains four spin-stabilized lead projectiles housed in a multi-piece, self-discarding sabot. Fired from a 16-inch AR-15 barrel, the ammunition delivers a claimed muzzle velocity of 3,150 fps and 992 foot-pounds of energy. Franklin Armory says the four-projectile load maintains an effective pattern beyond 40 yards, increasing the likelihood of connecting with fast-moving game compared with conventional single-projectile ammunition. The company plans to introduce additional hunting calibers. MSRP: $67.99/Box of 20. Contact: www.franklinarmory.com
