4 Tips For Coyote Hunting In Strong Winds

Mark Kayser shares his insight for the best ways to hunt coyotes in windy conditions.

Don't let the wind keep you from having a successful coyote hunt. Check out these tips from Mark Kayser to help you enjoy a great coyote hunt even in extreme windy conditions.

1. Go low.

Find a spot anywhere below the elevation and discover an immediate reduction in the wind.

2. Think think.

Thick brush, that is. Find a spot where there is thick brush or timber and you'll also find a major break in the wind.

3. Call loud.

Make sure your sound is carrying out there far enough so that anything that might not be able to hear in the strong winds will still be able to hear your call.

4. Do quick, fast and short setups.

Moving around more often will help you get as many calls in as possible sent out to a wider range of pockets.
