Four years after the brutal winter that caused an antelope die-off on a scale that hadn't been seen in decades in Montana, prairie pronghorn are rebounding, according to state Fish, Wildlife and Parks.

Brucellosis can cause young pregnant cattle, as well as elk, to abort. It's believed the most infectious materials come from birthing fluids and tissue. So keeping cattle and elk separated at the time the elk calve is thought to be key to controlling the spread of the disease.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Park said in a news release that the woman was likely bit in the head during the attack, but that none of her injuries were life-threatening.
